The perfect party appetizer; especially during football season. This recipe can be multiplied to accommodate large groups. These babies are spicy but if you want them to pack a punch, leave the seeds in. Although the recipe doesn’t call for it, try adding some sharp cheddar cheese to the cream cheese mix and kick it up another notch.
- 20 Large Whole Jalapeños sliced in half (keep seeds if desired taste is extra spicy)
- 2 16 ounce packs Cream Cheese soften
- 1-1/2 cups Real Bacon Bits
- 1/2 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
- 20 slices Uncooked Bacon
- pinch Salt
- Parsley
- Smoked Paprika

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

Mix crème cheese, bacon bits, cayenne pepper and pinch of salt in a large mixing bowl. (If desired taste is extra spicy add seeds removed from jalapenos).

Fill each half slice of jalapeno with crème cheese mixture.

Wrap filled Jalapeno with a slice of uncooked bacon.

After jalapenos are filled and wrapped place each one on an ungreased baking pan. Garnish with paprika and parsley bake 25 to 30 minutes or until bacon is completely done.

Remove from oven, serve while hot. Enjoy!
